Working with clay - African masks

Using everything we had observed during the week, we set to work on our clay African masks. Y3C used paper to form the curve of the face and then added facial features such as eye sockets, eyes, a nose and lips. Using their decorative skills, they added a few extra design features to the clay.

Once the clay had dried the children began their challenge of creating an African design for their mask. The results stand for themselves. Y3C have done themselves proud throughout the entire Arts Week!
